Maya Gown
"Maya Gown was a custom reception wedding dress I made in two weeks. The goal was to create a sexy, comfortable and romantic dress for the bride to be able to eat, dance and have fun in. The design involved a made-to-measure coutil and satin underbust corset, which I pattern drafted myself, with handsewn beaded lace appliqués, cord binding and lace trim, a bias cut 3/4 circle satin skirt with a hand-stitched beaded lace hem, and a beaded lace capulet- esque sleeve which I also patterndrafted and sewed myself.
"Pretty Girl" is a re-imagining of the modern popstar. The project was conceptualised, designed and made by me. The process involved pattern drafting the bodysuit for stretch fabric and manipulating the cutouts, creating a stretch bodice mould for hand stitching and embellishing, laser cutting mirrored acrylic and vacuum forming acrylic plastic with spray paint to create a liquid metal embellishment, attaching hundreds of disco tiles individually to the garment, 3D printing a platform for the disco ball mechatronic, creating the disco ball attachment for the mechatronic, wiring the mechatronic, creating a half disco ball belt, magnet attachments for the shoulder disco balls, hand stitching disco balls to the back cutouts and hand stitching finishing chords to all the seams and cutouts.

All Eyes on Me
"All Eyes on Me" is for a reinterpretation of "To Wung Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar", for a scene where Chi Chi is trying to hitchhike using her looks. The project was conceptualised, designed and made by me. It involved creating shapewear hip pads, a drag faux leather and coutil corset, creating foam and clay moulds to steam mould leather for the lips, vacuum forming the globes for the eyes, setting up and wiring mechatronics for the lid, lazer cutting and heat moulding the eyelashes, painting the eyes, patterning and sewing the faux leather sleeve, creating the earrings with hula hoops, ribbon and chiffon and sewing the faux leather tongue.
The Dolly Rocket gown was a commission made with one other designer, Kaiqi Zhang and two interpreters, Laura Doughty- Voaden and Yang Hong, for Dolly Rocket, the MC at Proud Cabaret, Brighton. The gown involved a made-to-measure bedazzled underbust corset, a decorated and bedazzled bra, a satin patterncut undergown, a creatively draped chiffon overgown, 70 hours' worth of handmade chiffon feathers, a spot-welded headpiece which was then decorated with feathers, chains and crystals, and a sleeveless velvet and taffeta tailored jacket. I partook in both the designing and making process
"Prospero" was a cyberpunk reimagining of the character of the same name from Shakespeare's "The Tempest." The costume involved a creatively pattern cut linen and coutil bodice, a faux leather and foam jacket with detachable sectioned sleeves attached by magnets, a spot-welded geometrical two-piece cage that would be moved on wheels, a handmade steel hoop skirt, a cotton skirt with a toile base, rouged with horizontal and vertical cord and texturised with crackle paste. The hair and makeup were done by me, and the film was also shot, lit, directed and edited by me
"Witch of the Waste" is a drag reimagining of the character of the same name from the film "Hal's Moving Castle. The costume involved a made-to-measure satin-backed coutil corset, a reworked bridesmaid gown into a skirt, a handmade crochet shawl, handmade. crinoline, gloves made out of a stretch velvet dress and handmade lycra shorts. The makeup and styling were also done by me, and the photoshoot was lit, directed and shot by myself.
"Sustainable Hate - Antisemitism" was a project around sustainability. We were tasked with creating a zero-waste shirt surrounding the topic of sustainability. I focused on the most self-sustained form of hate in history, antisemitism. The shirt involved sewing the zero waste patterned shirt out of calico, dying it with tea and coffee, using teabags to create the uneven dyed look to assimilate the colouring of the Torah, the Jewish holy scrolls. I silk screen printed a passage from the torah as the jews cry enough from slavery by the Egyptians, I created the burned Star of David and "Chi" by using bubble wrap and liquid silicone mixed with acrylic paint, hand-painted the stripes on the back, and used tweezers and sandpaper to create the rugged hem on the bottom of the shirt.
"Anxiety" was a project where we were tasked with creating a headpiece that depicted an assigned emotion. I created this Alien-inspired headpiece using aluminium wire, stuffing, calico, a faux leather used handbag, acrylic paint and thread to create a textured, macabre look.
"La Traviata" was a reimagined techno rave interactive performance of the opera " La Traviata". I was tasked with creating a miniature version of one of my designs for the project. The costume involved creating my " trippy plaid" using 4 different silk screens to create a disorted plaid, which was then lined with toile and cord, a satin organza corset, a lycra catsuit, a leather waist enhancer and hip crinoline to help hold the shape of the garment.
"Descent - Alice Wondering For a Land", was a stills film I styled, helped photograph, was one of the hair and makeup specialists, creative directed and edited for. The photoshoot was inspired by Alice in wonderland characters including Alice, the cheshire cat, the caterpillar, the queen of hearts and the bunny. For the styling I procured used items from charity shops to stay within the budget and to achieve a worn in look, and was inspired by the underground rave scene from when I arrived in London, and all the different characters I was introduced to.

"Night Circus" was a German expressionistic reimagining of a scene from the book "The Night Circus", made 90% out of calico and 10% organza. The scene depicts the universe the characters live in, changing from black and white to a coloured reality through magic. This was a group project involving myself, Emily Brusson, Ekaterina Yurova and Savannah Endean.
